I loved the Worst Best Man and appreciated the reappearance of characters from Sosa’s hit romance. Assistant wedding planner Solange walks in on a cheating bride and makes it her mission to make sure groom Dean knows, creating a huge drama and ruining the wedding. The payback he demands is that she fake date him to seal his potential promotion at work.

It’s no surprise that Dean and Solange actually like each other, and get found out, because that’s how these things ALWAYS play out. But Sosa keeps it real and fresh with strong supporting characters and cultural details and career subplots. The close-knit, big, obnoxious family is wonderful, and the writing is laugh-out-loud funny. And OMG their dates, which include a sex party, are of the “truth is stranger than fiction” variety and so absurd as to be believable.

If you loved The Worst Dressed Man, you’ll love this one, too.
