As I raced my way through this sequel to find out what was going to happen next to best friends Tibby, Carmen, Bridget and Lena, I kept having a deja vu feeling–like I’d already read it, and yet, I was still surprised by some of the things that happened. Not sure if that means the writing has been consistent from book to book and the author has stayed true to the characters, if she is just unoriginal and the plot predictable on some level, or if I am just having a brain fart and actually did read it already.

I liked it, but my favorite parts were the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. I was frustrated with the disjointed storytelling–mid-chapter, we would switch characters, and even when the notes attached to the pants was supposed to be act as transition, it wasn’t enough of one for me. There was less depth to this novel; the girls are primarily concerned with romantic relationships

I will read the fourth book in the series when it comes out, and am interested in the movie, but didn’t love this title as much as the first one.
