Beth Schreiber

Reviewer, Proofreader, Editor

About

Beth holds a Master of Science in Library and Information Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities with a Creative Writing concentration. Her undergraduate coursework included multiple classes in journalism and essay writing, poetry and creative writing. She can’t help reading whatever people bring to her with an editing pen in hand, and as an active reviewer on NetGalley, frequently sends notes to publishers with the location of the single typo they missed that she caught in the digital ARC.

Beth reviews romance novels (mostly!) at the Hip Librarian’s Book Blog, served as chief grammatician and occasional reviewer for the now-defunct librarian’s movie review blog The Big Brown Chair, and has taught multiple continuing education courses in book reviewing, creative writing groups, infographics and more.

Beth writes, copyedits and proofreads content every day: blog posts, newsletters, instructions, book reviews, narrative reports, procedures, press releases and more. In addition to her own publications, she has edited a novella, a dissertation, short story and poetry collections, numerous college and graduate level academic papers, and fanfiction.

Currently Beth is freelancing as an editor for short and full-length fiction for content, clarity, consistency, and corrections; see Editing Services for details, and her resume for credentials.
